A modest addition to a small 1910's Minneapolis home

How does one accommodate a grand piano and a large marimba when they are taking up your living room? a&h were contacted after being spotted in the publication Nordic Reach  during a visit to the local Scandinavian gift shop. The homeowners, both musicians, needed a better solution for making music in their home, as well as a better bedroom space on the upper level. The project also addressed the common need for a mudroom and first floor bathroom, functions many homes of this era lack.
